Admiral James Stavridis is a retired, highly decorated four-star U.S. naval officer with a PhD in International Relations. As Supreme Allied Commander of NATO, he had responsibility for cybersecurity and piracy control in Afghanistan, Libya, the Balkans and Syria. He served as Commander of the U.S. Southern Command, with responsibility for all military operations in Latin America from 2006 to 2009. Admiral Stavridis has authored 15 books and has written numerous articles featured in journals around the globe.
